"When we know better, we do better!"
                                          -Oprah

Omni 1:1-2;26
"Behold, it came to pass that I, Omni, being commanded by my father, Jarom, that I should write somewhat upon these plates, to preserve our genealogy--
Wherefore, in my days, I would that ye should know that I fought much with the sword to preserve my people, the Nephites, from falling into the hands of their enemies, the Lamanites. But behold, I of myself am a wicked man, and I have not kept the statutes and the commandments of the Lord as I ought to have done...
And now my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."

I love this scripture, it really shows the power of the atonement; it states in verse two that Omni was a wicked man, but when you read verse twenty-six, he is asking his people to come unto Christ. Everyone that will come unto Christ and give up their sins can be saved, it is so incredible to have that promise.

Christ is going to be paying attention to what we are or are not doing; He is the prime example of what we need to be doing and accomplishing. Christ gave the ultimate service and sacrifice for us, He died for us. We in turn should follow His example and lose ourselves in service to others.

Heavenly Father is there for us, He gently pushes us in the right direction and is there for us to rely upon in all things. He wants to listen to our fears, qualms, and insecurities. He is there so let Him help you. We can get through anything with our Heavenly Father's help; He will never give us something that we cannot handle.

Be grateful for what you have and remember all of the many blessings that Heavenly Father has given you.

We ultimately have the choice to choose; we have many "better" decisions to make and the Lord will support our decisions. There are many people that are there to listen and offer good advice, but you should always talk to the Lord about your decision. Once you make that decision, stick to it and go for it!
